Welcome to the dark art of the mixdown. All experienced producers know that this is what it’s all about. Getting your tracks release-ready is a difficult task – becoming a professional producer is about knowing when and how to make a thousand small tweaks to your tracks that result in a massive difference overall. Once you understand the techniques that top producers and mastering engineers use you’ll notice an incredible jump in the quality of your music and the road to signing that contract will seem much clearer.

If you can’t make it to our weekly class, join professional mixing and mastering engineer house / techno producer Robert Etherson (Mia Dora) along with professional mastering engineer Conor Dalton (Glowcast / Calyx) as they guide you through the process of taking your productions to the next level over one action packed weekend. Conor Dalton’s flies in from Berlin especially for this class, and his client list speaks for itself. He has acted as mastering engineer for the likes of Daft Punk, Jeff Mills, Ricardo Villalobos, Adam Beyer, Green Velvet and hundreds more.

You will be taught by Robert Etherson – one of Scotland’s leading mixdown and mastering engineers. Robert is one half of Mia Dora, who have had great success with their tough house sound and have toured the world. He also works with a diverse range of top artists as a mixdown engineer, so you know you’re learning from one of the best in the industry.

Half of Sunday’s session will be taught by top industry mastering engineer Conor Dalton (Calyx / Glowcast). He will delve into common mixdown mistakes and incredible industry advice as he flies in from Berlin just for this course. Conor’s client list speaks for itself, having mastered for the likes of Daft Punk, Ricardo Villalobos, Andrew Weatherall and many more.
