What a great product. Makes learning production easy.
I have common music knowledge with orchestra music and Djing for a few years, but buying this tutorial has really opened my horizons on producing. Countless hours of hitting a wall not knowing how to fully compose, this has solved a few problems I’ve had in just an hour of lessons. Much more to go but so far it is all around understandable and at a good pace to learn and retain knowledge.
I am a big fan of Simon Stokes’ music (Petrichor) and didn’t hesitate to buy this tutorial. As it turns out he is also a gifted teacher – explaining the concepts quickly, but in an easy-to-understand way. This efficiency is particularly important to me, since I already know a little bit and do not want to hear things multiple times. I am more than halfway through with this course and cannot recall a moment of boredom. Highly recommended!
Having bought this looking for a guide to walk me through the creation of a track I was pleasantly surprised by how well made this course is. Audio and video quality are top notch and the videos are easy to digest. The instructor goes through everything you would need to know to build a track and he explain it in a clear and concise manner. Really good job!
A very complete break down to Music Production!
I have been using Ableton for quite some time but I didn’t know the ins and outs of the software. The mixing down and mastering of a rack was something I always lacked knowledge on. Also, just the simple structuring i used to struggle with. The way Simon explains stuff in this course is excellent, from music theory to the way synthesis works. I am glad I took a chance on this course. Its brilliant. Highly recommended, for beginners and people who have been blindly playing around with Ableton for a while!!
Coming from Maschine, I really had troubles diving into Ableton : the product is much more complex & large then NI’s software. These tutorials saved me a huge amount of time. Simon really picked the right progression and his explanations are very clear, very “actionable”… I really understood the workflow quickly and I’m even now considering using Ableton as my main production tool.
I love the videos… They have helped me see ableton in a new light…. Thanks guys great job
Very informative a good starting point for someone who is new to Ableton Live Platform a lot of good stuff
Even though I have been using Ableton for 3 years I decided to buy this course and take myself back to school to get a deeper knowledge of Ableton. It’s been great and is filling in the gaps in my knowledge. No longer am I thinking “what does that button do”?
I’ve only watched a few of the videos so far but already really impressed with the quality and clarity of the lessons. High quality videos and audios, very well laid our structure and course content.
I’ve taken expensive Ableton classes in the past and this course is on par with them, it covers all the basics and more advanced techniques. Great value!
I’m around halfway through the first module but loving it so far. I’d class myself as lower intermediate but I’ve learnt lots of new techniques in a couple of hours. Really looking forward to delve in deeper into the course.
As soon as i knew Simon Stokes was the man at the helm with your new Ableton course I was sold instantly!
I have already been to a course with the man in Glasgow at Shoogle studio’s and he was a brilliant tutor, making it easy, fun and intuitive…….So to have videos of the course as well was a 100% no brainer. I would highly recommend anyone considering this course to sign up NOW. You will not be disappointed!! Ewan MacFarlane (Apollo 440,MENNSKA)
The tutor really knows how to teach. Everything is explained simply and clearly. He moves through all parts step by step without rushing. Videos are short but cover everything they should. What I like the most is that the tutor teaches Ableton simultaneously with making a track from scratch. Everyone will benefit from this course – a total beginner or intermediate producer. I can honestly recommend this course to everyone who wants to learn to work with Ableton at really high level.
